Relief Society Choir

Dear Juneau Sisters Reading this Blog,

On January 7th, Elder Daniel L. Johnson of the Seventy will be in Juneau visiting. He is planning on doing a Relief Society Devotional from 5pm-6pm, and he has requested a Relief Society Choir number.

We just found out about this today, so we've got a pretty short timeline to get the choir together.

Relief Society Choir practices will take place on Tuesdays December 22, 29, and January 5, and on Sundays December 27 and January 3. at 6:30pm at the Stake Center.  I'm afraid that this may interfere with one of the ward's mutual nights, and I'm sorry about that. I hope that the priesthood will support you in any way that they can fulfil the request of the visiting general authority to make this a successful Relief Society Choir.

Please announce this in your Relief Societies on Sundays so everyone who is interested may participate. I'll work on getting the practice movies up on my blog and on the facebook page ASAP.

Please encourge ladies to start practicing by singing with the music at this blog when it comes up, or they can like the Juneau Stake Choir page on Facebook, and I'll be updating the music when it's ready.

The opportunity to sing together sisters in Juneau is exciting, and will knit our spirits and friendships together even tighter. Come join us creating a little pocket of Zion and expand its borders by inviting the other sisters to lend their voices!

The song we'll be singing is "Sweet is the Work" arranged by Amy Webb. Click on these highlighted words and it will take you to the PDF of her song. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
